The short version

What sublimation means for your kit

Sublimation is a printing method where ink is turned into a gas by heat and absorbed into polyester fibres. The design becomes part of the fabric instead of a layer on top, so it does not crack, peel or wash out.

Because the whole garment is printed at once, a kit with gradients, patterns and ten sponsor logos costs about the same to print as a plain one. That is why most club and league kits are now sublimated.

We design, print, heat-press, cut and stitch every kit in our own factory, so you deal with one supplier from mock-up to delivery. Read how sublimation printing works or compare sublimation and screen printing.

FAQ

Custom sublimation sportswear: questions

Which sports do you make kits for?

Cricket, football, rugby, hockey, basketball and esports, plus training wear and tracksuits for any sport.

Can sublimation be done on cotton?

No. Sublimation only bonds with polyester fibres, which is why team kits are made in polyester knits. Cotton garments are printed or embroidered instead.

Do sublimated kits fade?

The ink is dyed into the fibres, so it does not crack or peel. Washing inside out in cool water keeps colours bright for many seasons.

Can we order for a whole league?

Yes. We produce multiple team designs in one order, packed and labelled per team.
