Private label vs white label vs cut and sew

White label means putting your label on a factory's existing design. Private label means the factory produces your chosen design and specs under your brand. Cut and sew means the garment is built from scratch to your own patterns. Moving from white label to cut and sew gives more control but needs more development work.

White label

You pick a ready-made style and add your labels and logo. It is fast and simple, but other brands may sell the same garment.

Private label

We start from a proven base pattern and adjust it to your specs: fabric, weight, colour, fit tweaks, pockets, trims and decoration, with your labels. This is how most growing brands work with us.

Cut and sew

You provide a full tech pack and we develop the pattern from scratch. It gives the most control and the most distinctive product. See our tech pack guide.

Which should you choose?

  • Testing an idea quickly: white label.
  • Building a brand with its own feel: private label.
  • Signature, unique pieces: cut and sew.

We offer private label and cut-and-sew manufacturing for hoodies, tracksuits, T-shirts, joggers and jackets. See private label.

Frequently asked questions

Which is best for a new brand?

Private label on proven base styles is often the best start: your brand and choices, without developing every pattern from scratch.
